mini me question and .std ?
iam about to get a y8 head and put it to my d15b1 and get a d16 mpfi setup to /can anyone tell me what to expect out of this ecept 2 days of work// plus i have the 4spd trans and was thinking of goin to a si trans but i want to know the gear ratio for the 4spd thanks

i have a d15b1 with a y7 head and with a HP calculator from superhonda .com it said it makes about 130 hp runs a low 15 maybe high 14 depending on tires
y7 is that the vtec e iam sorry i dont have all the tec terms down but once under the hood i can figure **** out...but do u like the setup and did u convert to mpfi? id like to go all motor and get a little wrench work in myself... its to find but i like working on my car aslong as i dont have to work on it if u know what i mean..
the y7 is from the 96-00 civic dx.106 hp 103 torque.the vtec e is a d16y5 115 hp dont remember torque.DO THE MPFI CONVERSTION!

its around 13hp.on the 4speed,the gears are so tall.once you get to 4 or 5000 then it runs the gear out.you want to get to your power band quick.you wont be able to with the 4 speed compaired to the 5.

im running a d15b1 bottom end and the stock top end w. cam. car is fully gutted and im in the 14's w/ it. i was going to p&p and mill an si head and slap that on there to yeild 12:1 compression. i think i may just p&p it and turbo it
if you are switching from the dual pont fule injection to multi point you will need to replace the fule pump, the dual piont pump I think is a lower presure pump and you need the higher presure for the multi point injection

not really...
for example..... the first cam lobe on a Z6 starts loosing power at 4600-4800... i got my vtec kicking at 4600 right now..... at that point... vtec kicks in around 20 mph until 35... then once u shift.. it goes under..and u dont get vtec until i hit around 44 mph... then u stay on vtec until 70 mph.... then u dont get vtec until u hit around 90 mph..... i am telling u this from the xperience i got on my 4 speed and the mini me..... kinds sucks being under vtec. , but the car doesnt say no and keeps going.... i rahter have a Si tranny ..... but u gotta deal with what u got....

teh si trans is way to short as soon as u lower tire pressure at the track u loose top end and if u were to have a dx trans it be about the same as teh si final drive
