help, shift knob problems

Default help, shift **** problems

just today i started up my 94 hatch and jiggled my shift **** like usual and the **** dropped about an inch or two. enough so that it hit the bottom part of the car. i can still shift in and out of gear but it keeps slipping over and over again. have never had the problem so i need some help. thanks

the whole shifter dropped im assuming? can you pull the shifter up and down? could be the the bushing that supports the linkage to the transmission is broken or missing or the bracket/bracket bolts broke or fell out that secures the bushing to the bottom of the car.

ive had something similar to this happen to my friend on he couldnt shift gears. driving home stuck in 4th is not so easy..lol...gl with the fix

Just take the shifter console off and see what goin on down there. Sounds like a simple fix.
