Default Bouncy "skate board" and "go-kart" like coilover blues.

After much thought I decided to go for coilovers on my 93 Del Sol.
I also decided to swap out all rubber suspension bushings as many were suffering from aged dry rot, but that's another story all together.
Back to the coilovers .... I discover that most of the cheapy kits use standard shocks, some are Chinese clones, some are absolute **** .... with a threaded sleeve that doesn't quite fit right over the coil perch on the shock, which was designed for the unground end of a coil spring and not a flat plate or flat ended spring, so they don't fit straight or flat. Also when the suspension unloads or is jacked up the springs flop arround loosley and sometimes need to be repositioned on the pads, this can be dangerous if it's not noticed. Mostly it seems they use the same springs for the front/rear where the rears should be about 40% less spring rate than the fronts because of the difference in weight distribution, especially the Del Sol. Well I bought a set of DropZone ($250.00) pretend coilovers, They installed easily and looked good, I managed to get the ride height where I wanted it to be which is +2" to compensate for my old sagging springs and 205/15/60 tires.
Looking arround it seems one must pay $700+ for a set that are designed right and sit correctly, I mean the threaded shock body type that use a progressive full length spring and hopefully they are sprung at the correct rate so as not to feel like a go-kart.

Question is, who makes such a setup with progressive full length springs that will adjust up 1 to 2 " (not drop)

Looks like the only ones I can find that may suit my needs are the Tokico Illumina as they have a full length 10 turn progressive spring but I'm wondering if they are upwardly adjustable, any one know for sure ? comments on these ?

Also, anyone in NC (raleigh area) want a cheap set of DropZone coilovers) installed but not run more than 20 miles. Car handles like a race car but too hard for normal highway commuting and daily driving. $200 cash, come and get em.
