Default Tach, fuel guage, temp guage all not working...fuse??

Like title states, tach, fuel guage, temp guage all aren't working. I dont' know if they ever did as I'm restoring this car. Check engine lights, turn signals work. ideas? is there a fuse that controls those somewhere?

btw 88 hatch DX, 89 si cluster, known working cluster, I saw it working in another car.

To OP, does your speed gauge still work or is that out to?

I just got mine to work. It was the fuse. And now my speed still doesn't. So that totally makes sense.

My tach on the other hand has a jumpy needle past 3500 RPM's. Anyone know ho to fix that?

Your speedo works off of the cable thats plugged into the rear of your cluster, it may not be tight or all the way on there. Pull it off, then push it firmly into the back of the cluster, if you hear a "click", its on there.

a bad igniter (ICM) can cause the tach to bounce around/be "jumpy".

the fuel gauge is connected to the fuel gauge sender unit, temp gauge is connect to a sensor on the block, and tach from the distributor. are all of those things hooked up?
you're restoring the car so, is the motor running? what state is the car in?

Are you positive that the cluster is from an 89, cause the 90-91 pinouts are different. although I believe if you did have the wrong year cluster all the features would still work but they would be all mixed up.

are all the screws in place and tight in the back of the cluster, they connect the curcuits on the gauges

please tell me you've at least checked the fuses by now.

I own a 94 civic sedan dx and the problem I'm having is the light on the cluster turns on but the rpms, mph, temperature and fuel gauges don't move/work. At first i though the cluster it self was the problem so I went and bought another one; however, i'm still having the same issues. Has this happen to someone else before? Plz help its driving me nuts...........

This is a really old post (sorry) but I'm having the same problem on my accord, where is this fuse located, and if by chance you know, which one is it (i think its one of them under the dash but don't know which) Thanks.

This is a really old post but I have the same problem on my 1991 civic hatchback
I got into a minor accident and had body work done on my car. On my way to the shop all my gauges worked, but a couple days later after my car was done they stopped working. I only got my speedometer to work again because I pushed the VSS back in place. Also my emergency lights are not working..ANY HELP PLEASE??

On my 89 Honda Prelude Si the fuse is the one for the turn signals (10 amp).
