1. I'm currently on Eibach Sportline with Tokico blues. Looking into getting Koni Yellows, will the Sportlines pair to the Koni's with no problem? Or are the Koni's aimed towards the Ground Control set-up?

2. On my current set-up I rub on U-turns, when i have 2 other people in the car or 1 heavy person and there's a dip or wave on the highway I rub. If the passengers are in the rear the rear tires rub in the well. If in the front, the front rubs. Is this the Shocks or Springs?

-2000 Honda Civic Ex
-Tokico Blues w/ Eibach Sportlines
-2000 Honda Civic Si rims wrapped in 205/50/15 Dunlop Direzza

Front Left. Dips, Waves, etc. on the road cause my tire to hit that and causing cuts on my front tires.





Left Rear. Only when i have a passenger in the back this happens. I go through a dip on the highway and it scratches/rubs/hits

They will pair up nicely.

This is most likely the offset of the wheels, or the tire size.

We put yellows and sportlines on a TSX for Honda Tuning two weeks ago and the car worked very well. Looked super aggressive and rode pretty nice.

 

Is there any printing or any way to find out if the springs i have are compatable for my car? I bought them used and was told they would fit my application, I just want to be positive they are for my car.

 

my tires rub my fender too when i hit bumps, i just deal with it, But then again im probally lower than you.

The number is 4.1740 I am now contemplating on using different shocks, since this is my daily i dont think i will use the koni's to their full potential. Any recommendations on some shocks that will pair nicely with the sportline lowering springs? Looking for something thats not going to bottom out, or anything thats worth ****. I hate the Tokico shocks im on, they suck.

 

Up for some opinions on some good shocks!

 

 

tokiko blues = oem replacement pretty much. so any upgrade to a performace strut is going to improve.

 

I personally really like my Tokico Illuminas. But the blues suck.

Doesn't sound like it, as they appear to be too low/soft or not progressive enough for your application.

You may want to look into a set of Tokico Illuminas if you are dissatisfied with the Tokico HPs.

 

I looked on the eibach site, and these springs are correct for my car. Looks like ima just bite the bullet and do the koni yellows.

 

u have to remember, spring support the car, not the shock, if the spring is not stiff enough for what u are taking with the car(passager/stuffs), even if u change to koni yellow, it will still do the same. btw, how deep is the dip that u hit? and i would think before the tire rub the inner panel, the bump stop should have stop that from happening, did u put the bump stop? and what is the offset and width of your rim?

right, u can have that doubt, but then tell me which shock will have more dampening force than a (well let say) over 6k spring rate? well, i am not sure a koni yellow can have a more power to stop your car from bottoming out more than a stiffer spring. given the fact that what u take the car with is more than the spring can give.

 

Koni Yellow Sports will have no problems dampening your Sportlines. Throw them Tokico Blues in the trash Ware.

 

I have yellows and sportlines on my daily driver. At full soft I do not get rubbing at all, and my tires are even the wrong size are are in inch bigger diameter I believe. Ive been wanting to get ground controls though because I would like to adjust the ride height some, especially in the rear, I carry a lot of tools in the trunk for work and have some butt sag as a result.

Even though you may not use them to the full potential most of the time Id still get the yellows, they are great.
