Type R Everything..... Its better than GSR stuff. Slightly More Aggressive Cams. And go with a nice name brand set of springs and retainers.

This is a pretty mild build. Isnt going to cost you a fortune. and you will see some noticeable power gains.

81.25 bore and use Honda Factory parts for everything you can. Get new pistons if you can. Cams you can buy used on here all day. All TYPE R or CTR

Deffinately upgrade your Intake mani, the snail shell on the GSR is crap in comparison to the ITR style. Also itr pistons and cams are an affordable seat of the pants gain in HP. GL with the build

If he is going to rebuild the whole motor then it is going to get damn pricey.

Have you considered just building the head? It will be much cheaper and you will some some great gains, without the bother of having the touch the block.

well since it has high miles he is prolly looking to replace the rings and bearings. To make it a daily driver and not have to pull the motor after he pops a bad ring because he is raising the compression with a more aggressive head. Just take the motor out and do it all at once. do it right.

i'm looking into just getting the full type r swap for $3900, we can sell our GSR stuff to make up some of the cost and you get a low mile full on type r everything.

Big Props to the guy from my home state!!! Go Ducks!

Anyway. Save the extra money on suspension, brakes, wheels and tires maybe some body work. Things that will make a difference. If you rebuild your motor like I listed. It will last you prolly 200k miles. and you will know what you have in it. it will have your time, your sweat, and your money in it, It will have that pep in the step. All your vins will match smog will pass no problem. If you swap the type r. Things dont match and in California they do care about stuff matching and being Legal. Where as here in oregon in most parts you dont even have to get the car inspected or DEQ/Smog tested.
