I have the E-manage and i want to know what its capable of? how do i connect to it and where do i get the software? is it a straight USB? i saw a write up somewhere on how to make the cable on for like $6. how much more power should i safely be able to gain on a proper tune?

yeah i gots it and personally i think its junk. your not going to make any power with it unless you have something to actually tune for. now you said "how do i connecto to it?" is it already installed in the car or did you just purchase the ecu? if you dont all ready know theres a few dozen wires that splice into the ecu wiring harness. you connect to it with a USBab cable(your standard printer cable) and you talk and tune with the software loaded on your computer. i have the emanage ultimate which differs from the original or "blue" version.

 

i bought my hatch with it already installed, he told me its on base maps, hes never tuned it. so i want to mess with it. im not looking for any main power gains, but if i get like 15hp, i'd be super happy. i can make a cable for $6 and i have friends that know what to do, own a data logger and wideband and what not.
