anyone have a 97-98 ECU I could borrow?
Ryan, what car will you be using this in? Per Jackson, there is a difference between the 97 and 98 ecus. In 98 there is a change to the EVAP system, mainly the canister part. In a nut shell if you run a 98 ecu in an OBDIIa car you will get a CEL for the evap system. Just a little 411 for my buddy.

john thanks for the info. its my car so its a 2000 and OBD2b already, not too concerned about the evap stuff right now, just wanna see if the 97-98 ecu with no immobilizer will get rid of my CONSTANT CEL because my used 01 ecu has the immobilizer removed.
actually I was gonna try to put that bypass chip in that neo posted in my other thread. but they never got back to me. so before I start soldering and melting **** I figured I would just try a 97-98 ECU first.
