Default For those running Koni 2812's or simular...

How much Shaft compression should be allowed for when the car is static as opposed to when the shock is FULLY extended off the vehicle?

Is 1" 2" or 3" acceptable before the shock travel is compromised?
This relates to proper spring length

Droop, Spring rate, weight of the car, motion ratio, and spring compression before coil bind are all the things i would look at before basing spring length off of what you are talking about.

Helper springs are a good way to achieve what i think you are looking to do, keep the spring from becoming unseated.
