Well i have a crx with a usdm b18c1. And I beleive that I am running too lean. My plugs are always white, the electrode, and even on some of the tips have some white residue. WEll i have the stock fuel pump, stock injectors, vortech FR, and SX fpr. I have the fp at 55 at the moment. I tried injector cleaner, and the fuel filter is fairly new( 4 months old at the most)/ but i will probably change it just to make sure....but it could be my injectors aswell. So i have some 440 dsm injectors laying around, i was thinking of slapping those in. And i would be able to tune them down with the vafc.....since the vafc is said to increase/decrease by 50%. So I take about 35-40% then that would mean i could have 270-290 cc injectors. And I can lower the fuel pressure as well. So what do u guys think?? Has anyone even attempted this?? Am i going to be the test dummy :D Well i hope you guys can help me give me some tips.

Seems like 440 eclipse injectors-I'm guessing would be overkill. Some of the guys boosting are running those injectors and tuning it with a vafc, with a resistor box from I forget the years now been a while 92-95 Prelude I forget the year for the Accord.
n/a it's always better to give the engine enough fuel with the biggest possible pressure. When you put in the 440 injectors you have to turn back the fuelpressure and thats not realy the thing i would do.
I got stock injectors with 58 psi an it runs pretty (tested with a professional CO2-tester). I know, the pressure is very high, but my ECU is still stock (B16A1) i turn it back, when the V-AFC is installed (i hope i can do that this week).

hmmm, i thought it was the other way around. Since i still have my stock fuel pump(and i dont want to change that ,plus i already have the injectors) I Thought that the best thing would be to get big injectors, lower the pressure, and the stock pump will be able to handle all my duties. That way i wouldnt burn out my stock fuel pump, with such hih fp.

you can run dsm jectors fine w/ any afc. you can retain stock fuel pressure and tune them down w/ the afc. get an A/f guage so you never have to *think* your running lean. its $30 from summit. you will not have to upgrade fuel pump when they're detuned.

well, actually my ecu is chipped not to see any o2 sensors. So i rely on the plugs to tell me how rich/lean i am. I beleive thats a better way than using a a/f gauge. But as a matter of fact i have one in my car, i just disconnected it when i chipped the ecu. But on to the main subject....have u personally used 440 injectors and tuned them down with an afc? Or have u seen it for urself?? And i wasnt planning on changing out my fuel pump. thanx

i have a friend using dsms on a turbo b16 but how is it running with no O2 sensors???? and if ur running teh gsr program it should not be running lean it should run atr normal specs thats wut i dont get
I'm confused.
Are you still going NA, if you are, go with 310's MAX. 440 would def be overkill
But boosting, or even Pre-boosting: search for "IS my car a genius" in the FI forum. They have how their car reacted to 440's and ~30psi at the rail.

well, i took my ecu to ericks racing. I told him i have a gsr and i wanted 9000 revlimit, and that i wanted only one o2 sensor. He replied, i will make it so u dont have to use any. He said it will run better. And i dont know why i am running lean, thats why i am hear.
And let me clear some things up.....I will not be boosting. I will be all motor. And I have the injectors and vafc already...so i am not going to go out and waste money on some 310's , if i have the option to make the 440's to 310's via vafc. I would really like this post to be an archive on which someone could search and see if this can really work. So i will keep posting for a week or so, and if no one posts that they have acually done this......then i will go ahead and post my findings.
