Default H22a swap, Cylinder 1 ahhhhh

So I recently rebuilt H22a and put it in the car. Car has maybe 900 miles since rebuild? It starts up fine, but when you take off and start driving down the road, the car will throw CEL and then the car will start bogging down and basically fall on its face until i hit the throttle a little, then it will start to get up to speed again. I found out that when sitting in the driveway after first start up (This is intermittent), I will take Cylinder 1 plug wire off and the car will sometime almost die, and others it will barely have an effect on how the engine idles. When I pull off 2-3-4, the idle has a drastic change in rpm's and it will begin to almost die. The car has new plug wires, Distributor Cap, Spark Plugs, Coil Wire. I have a Fuel Pressure Gauge on the car, it reads 38 psi. It has brand new injectors. We have switched out injectors and still the same thing. The CEL comes on for a knock sensor.

Any help is greatly appreciated, I am stumped!

Thanks!

replace that knock sensor, when the ecu throws a knock sensor code, it goes into limp mode, causing it to run like crap.

Is it the knock sensor itself or is it actually something in the motor causing vibration?

Checking the timing might not be a bad idea

when you step on the gas, do you have a flat spot??

I had this very similar problem, but I have not done a rebuild, I would some times be sitting there and the car would bog. I did valve adjustment and clean my TB,Fast idle and ERG valve and the problem has been eliminate.

I will be adjusting the valves in the next week or so. If that doesnt seem to help, I will take the cover off and recheck timing to see if it jumped a tooth or not. The Intake Manifold, EGR Valve, Throttle body etc etc were all cleaned when the motor went in.

If that doesnt fix it, what else could it be? Thanks guys
