Default Anyone running a 205/55/15 on their Accord?

My 96 Coupe needs new tires, I found a great deal on some 205/55/15

Is anyone else running this size tire? Did you see a difference in Speedo speeds?

Or should I just stick with a 60 series sidewall height? Currently the car has HUGE 195/65/15 tires....65 series are waay to tall ( i bought the car with them on) and seem to slow the car and make the ride lumpy/bouncy.

My car isnt lowered...but I plan on getting the H&R OE spec springs soon.

Any pics? or opinions

I have 205/50/15

It's fine, speedo reads about 3-5 mph fast but have a feeling it's due to age more than anything.

I believe the 5th gens came with 195-60-15 tires, so stepping up to 205-55-15 would be fine. Your speedo would read high by ~1%.

I have had a 205/50/15 and a 205/50/17 both on my car without a problem

now running 225/50/15 drag radials up front.

I have 205 something on my 15" wheel but can't remember if it's a 55 or 50. Anyway I'm on my second set in this size and to me since my car isn't lowered it looks a ton better as it fills up the wheel wells a lot better than the 195's. According to my GPS with stock sized tires well my 18"s that had tires similar to stock the speedo was slightly off. It read slightly faster than you were going with the 205's it seems to be perfect. I don't know why my speedo is like that. Maybe it was just slightly off and the bigger tires fixed it I don't know.

The tires im looking at at General Exclaim UHP...at 205/55/15 they cost $64 bucks a pop..plus they are giving a $50 Rebate.

The ratings for these tires are really good. A friend who had them like them over his Michelin Pilots...which cost twice as much.
