Default 2003 factory radio question

I have just the standard 6-disc changer with regular A/C controls. Is it possible for me to replace it with another one but with auto climate controls and/or a satellite-ready factory unit? I asked one guy at work and he doesn't think it will work because the A/C wire plugs are probably different for a non-auto climate control car vs. an auto climate control car. Ideas?

The wires for the unit may be there, but you can't forget about the temperature sensors for the driver and passenger sides, that will be needed for auto climate. Even the dashboards are slightly different. You would have to find a place suitable for mounting the sensors. It can be done, I'm sure, but make sure you have all the bases covered. Good luck. I do love the auto climate control, so I can understand why you want it.
