Is there a poor man's test CHART to replace ECM test harness? Tool 07LAJ-PT3010A cost $,$$$

There must be way of testing ECM directly without using a test harness. Besides not being able to find a test harness, I'm sure its going to cost thousands. I have 93 civic service manual (from helminc) and it requires test harness for mostly all test they have. book is useless without test harness. Does anyone know anything on how to overcome the test harness issue?

look into the ends of the plugs, you can insert a meter probe into there with ease.
I've done a lot of honda diagnostics and never had a special harness.
