Help! I have a 1994 Honda Accord EX and the A/C clutch will not engage. When the relay is jumped the clutch will engage and it will blow cold air, but the system will not engage the clutch on its own.

 

Could it be the temp sensor in the evaporator is bad? So it's not telling it to turn on?

 

that was my exact problem. Replaced the thermostat in the evaporator and it all worked.

 

I did some research on this switch and it said the system had to be discharged and the evaporator core had to be removed from the vehicle. The diagram looks like it could be accessed externally though. So could you tell me if it is possible to change this without discharging the system?
