For a Civic.

And op, you would most likly need a dremel to cut out and smooth your butterflyies out.

You can buy one from BlackTrax, but thats just a waste of money when thats all they do.

He strikes again with the missinformation....B20A5 is from a PRELUDE, not a Civic.

I don't think they even have an IAB system, so what is the point of this thread?

yeah and the spacer isnt just a iab plate with the butterflies removed. It is a completley new plate, no uneeded holes, and its plastic to help with heat transfer. I have heard that completly removing the plate and using shorter studs is the way to go. I'll be doing that on mine if I can find some shorter studs.

or just remove the plate and use shorter bolts? And trust me, a blacktrax spacer isn't just a stock spacer with the butterflies removed.. its already gasket-matched, and works as a thermal barrier

Wouldn't that decrease your plenum volume a noticeable amount?

it helps the top end a little bit, shortening the runners.
You don't need shorter studs, i just used about a 1" spacer on the existing studs. Not quite as pretty, but it works equally well.

Yes, it would decrease plenum volume, which is why you use a Blacktrax spacer. Don't just pull the piece out, guys, you're removing restriction in order to improve high-rpm breathing, yet you're decreasing plenum volume, which will hurt it.

Either:
1) Get a Blacktrax or similar spacer
2) Get a Euro-R (or Skunk2, though I don't recommend it) IM
3) Leave it alone and just get an S2k TB
