Default Jdm Integra folding mirrors

I just did an install on a pair of JDM Integra DB8 mirrors. Everything works great but the mirrors are way off. I know its for a right hand drive car and thats why the mirrors are "right side" justified. The mirrors would have to be adjusted to the very extreme just so I can kinda see.

Does anyone know if there is a way to switch the mirror's folding motor inside??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

You want to use the internals from your USDM mirrors (everything holding and adjusting the mirror itself), and just keep the housing and retraction motors from the JDM ones.

I read somewhere else before that you just need to put the glasses with the base in the hot water to take it off.

Why would you do that when you can just swap the glass? Just pop off your USDM glass and swap it on.

It comes off by just pulling on the glass. No need to soak it in hot water.

Yes that is all you do. The glass on one side of the jdm mirrors are different so all you need to do is swap over usdm glass.

Hey thanks for all your inputs.

The jdm and usdm mirrors have different mounting posts. You can NOT just swap out the mirror itself. And as for the folding motor from the jdm, I'm not sure how you can just swap it into the usdm housing.

Has anyone ever actually DONE one. Dont need speculations or guesses.

thanks for the support guys!! ( and some gals )

I have jdm mirrors with usdm glass on my dc2 so it must be different for db8s.

Edit: I just checked my db8 power folding mirrors and it looks if the glass is different from the dc2 mirrors. So you probably just swap the motors instead of just the glass.
