I'm planning on going on Friday to sign up for the MSF course here in MD. http://www.marylandmva.com/MVA...r.htm
Have any of you MD riders registered at the one in Gaithersburg, MD? I've been told you need to get there around 5am to make sure it doesn't fill up.
True/False?
Anyone have any basic advice for when I am taking the class?

You don't sign up for the class ahead of time? I think in Cali, they fill up several weeks in advance.
Just don't be late - they will give your spot to anyone waiting around for a spot.
And be patient - some of the exercises seem lame at first, but they have some practical value.

Yo whatsup mike? Yea, I took the MSF last year, I signed up through MC online, I had to wake up early as soon as registration began. Let me know if you have any questions. I drove by the place on the first day at 6am and the line rapped around the building, thus I signed up online.

Yo!
Where did you go to sign up online? I couldn't find it. Sammy and Matthew just did it a few months ago. They were there at 5am and said they were like 30th in line.

I just finished mine. yeah dont be late especially on the days you are going to ride. I had hard time finding the riding spot and i was 5 min late and the only bike available for me was a rebel (im 6'1 and i found it quite uncomfortable) Bring yourself tons of water on the days you are going to ride. Other than that if you dont feel like you really got down some of the drills let the instructor know...don't leave it hanging

i know that if you register for the msf and the class is full they tell you to show up anyways in case someone is late and then you get their spot.

So I got there at 4:30am this morning. Me and my dad were numbers 37 and 38 in line. We ended up getting our 2nd choice for the dates. Going to be starting on 9/11.
I'm sooooooo excited!

just to make you guys jealous, i called yesterday and got signed up for next week and if i wanted i could have done it this weekend. Sometimes it pays to live in the sticks.
In Southern California (West Los Angeles, Santa Monica) I had to sign up about 2 months in advance. Also if you didn't show up right on time they would give your spot to someone in the waitlist.
Interesting enough Ray Liotta was in my MSF class. Jan 2007
