Default Crank position sensor

Hello all,
I have a 91 civic dx with the b16a swap, The car was just recently put together. I havent been able to get it to run right. It throws a code 4 which is the crank position sensor. The engine runs ok until i drive it and not even 2minutes the code 4 pops on and the car runs like ****, it bogs out at less than 2 to 3k and i have to end up pushing it back. Ive been told that its definately the distributor, and its definately the ecu, but ive replaced both to brand new parts (whole distributor) and it still runs like that. Im really lost as to what the hec it could be, I cant find anyone who lives by me who knows about this stuff, I just need some help. Ive also heard it was timing, but that seems to be ok. also i replaced the tps sensor. any idea would be helpful, thank you.

do you think it could be the IACV or would air in the radiator do this?

Check your wiring.

If it was a DX and it was swapped to MPFI then code 4 is common mistake in wiring.

I'd check your distributor wiring first and foremost, then the ECU wiring. B10 and B12 for OBD0 PM6 - I think it may be the same for the B but I'm not sure on that.

tell ya what, I just swapped ecu's from a pw0 to a pr3 and i also switched the temperature sensor, now its running alot better, but still doesnt have full power like it should doesnt backfire anymore, but I think that I need help with timing set, and help on how to adjust the dizzy just right, advance or retard, i guess i need a timing light, but im afraid that the cams are off and that need to be set with the timing first before i mess with the dist. any forums or info on this that you know of to better help me on adjusting those two?
