Default Starter won't "start"

My car wont crank. It doesnt even make a clicking noise. I tried changing batteries, jump starting, checked the wiring. When I turn my car to the "on" position you should see a bright brake light, engine check light, oil pressure light, and battery power light. Instead I see a bright brake light, but the engine check, oil and battery indication lights are very dim on my cluster. maybe thats why it doesnt crank? what can cause the indicator lights to be dim? the battery is almost brand new.

All I hear is a clicking noise. You think my starter is broken because of the car falling?</TD></TR></TABLE>

i highly doubt it, if its clicking its probably working. check the voltages to it, and check and make sure all of ur wiring is in its proper place, you prob just knocked something loose.

Make sure the little wire that plugs into the starter is still plugged in.

I'd check and double check all the wiring. I highly doubt the starter is messed up. You could test it though.

I took it off and brought it to autozone.. they told me it was fine.. it must be my electrical. heres the thing that gave it away as being electrical.
1. I replaced the battery with another one thats almost brand new and still doesnt crank.
2. When I put the key in the ignition and turn it to the on position, the lights for the engine check light, oil temp and others are dim to the point where its you cant even see its lit. therefore it must be electrical. do you guys think it might be the underhood fuse dash? I unplugged my ecu and plugged it back in andn still doesnt work.

car started fine when I was about to change the headers.. theres nothing eletrical involved in changing the headers besides taking off the o2 sensor from the bung. I dont understand why its not cranking. something is holding back power enuff for it to crank.

under the hood black boxes have little diagrams of what they are on them, same goes for fuses etc. inside. just find compartments with fuses/relays and read the diagram

test as needed GL
