Default ALl possible LCA's - which is best bang for buck?

92 civic hb

I'm redoing my suspension and noticed my rear driver side lca is bent a bit. i did some research and found out that most of the aftermarket lca's have a problem with their bushings.

is it best to just get some used 94-00 / 92-95 stock lca? how much and how hard is it to put new oem bushings into used oem lca? thanks!

ummm the eg's are just shaped a little different and are skinnier, eg and itr/gsr lca's and strut assemblies are not interchangeable. its gotta be ITR-ITR or EG-EG no mixing, the itr LCA is too wide for an eg strut ***. (ask me how i know haha). ITR also has a hole for a rear sway bar while stock eg's do not. i have no idea how much that would cost, nor do i know if its something you can do on your own.

Blox or Skunk2. They are both decent.

I just picked up Function/Form LCA to go with the Function/Form coilovers I picked up, haven't installed them yet though but just mentioning it.

check out weaksauce.org in the hondatechmarketplace under the suspension section, they have a whole slough of LCAs to choose from

I'll agree with this. F7 lca's have a lifetime warranty, have their own custom poly bushings, rather than "ots" bushings, and offer a range of swaybar mounting points for adjusting tension.
F7's and MFactory are the only thing Id buy...the rest are just toys.

Do you need them anyway? No, probably not.
I went with F7s because 3 of my stock lca bushings were shot and the price for new oem or new bushings + having them pressed was close enough to justify the ease of just getting new F7s.

ummm what?
the ITR and EG rear and front LCAs are swapable. Only the EKs are not swapable.
I (and many on here) run ITR LCAs on EGs, zero fitment issues.

Keep in mind that the ITR rear LCA uses a different design with a shock that has the bushing in it and the EG/teg style (your pic) has the bushing in the LCA. So different shocks are in order if you swap them, but there is no difference as far as mounting to the car or trailing arm.

replacing the bushings requires a press and a couple 1/2 drive sockets to use as spacers. Takes about an hour to replace them once the LCA is out of the car.

the itr LCA is too wide to allow the stock eg strut to fit over it, so you can get a bolt through it is what i was saying, so if you need to get a "different design" with ur strut then they're not interchangeable. i tried putting ITR lca's on my car with my tokica illuminas and everything fit perfectly, except i couldn't get the strut to mount to the LCA.

im trying to tell him if he's not changing anything except for the LCA's then the ITR ones wont fit with a stock setup.

if I'm wrong please clarify, i dont want to post bs, and im just speaking out of my own personal experience. thanks

these are the ITR lca's i have, you can see the difference in width, where the strut mounts to the LCA

Right, they wont fit, because the itr lca is designed to have the shock fit inside, not over, it.
Both you two are making the same point, but saying it differently

i think im going to pick up some new oem integra ones, that way i can put on some rear sway bar in the future. aftermarket is a bit expensive and i dont want to deal with wack bushings. thanks all

the regular teg lcas do fit the 92 civic tho right? isnt that how eveyrone puts rear sway bar on?

Yes, EG & DC (except ITR, as already covered) rear LCAs are interchangeable, but depending on the trim level you may or may not get a connection for a rear sway. GSRs came with rear sway, but I'm not sure about the lower trims.

Nevertheless in all cases the suspension geometry is the same, there are just minor differences (different spring rates, mounts for sways, ABS, etc) between parts.

With an incorrect placement of the swaybar endlink, I'd be hard pressed to recommend those.
