Default Why my new timing belt skips????

i have a 90 Acura Integra, i bought a timing belt kit for my 1.8L b18. I installed that, and also replaced the water pump. After i time it, i get the vehicle running pretty strong for about 2-3 minutes. Then it shuts down. i check the belt, and it always skips on the intake cam. The exhaust, and crank line up in the same spot. what could cause this problem?

yea sounds like the belt is loose like was mentioned check the tensioner....dont keep starting the engine cause if it jumps timing you can bend your valves
