I've noticed my car is at 3k rpms while cruising at 65mph, in 5th gear - to me this is a little high? The motor [94 H22A] and ecu is stock - 8lb fidanza flywheel with stage 1 exedy clutch [m2b4 w/LSD].
I don't know what would be responsible for the RPM's at certain MPH, besides gearing?

Your transmission plays the biggest role. I'm at 3250rpm at 65mph. Normal for 5speed 5th gens.
5th gear RPM/MPH ratio:
2000/40
2500/50
3000/60
3500/70
4000/80
4500/90
5000/100
5500/110
6000/120
6500/130
7000/140

just the info I was looking for
Where did you get it from?
yea, I found it awkward to be at/above 3k rpms going 65mph. I believe tire diameter is also a factor.

Tire diameter hardly changes it, but it will a little bit. There's a conversion calculator on discounttire.com.
My rpm:speed ratios are pretty much the same as the list above. (with an m2a4)
edit: here's that calculator... http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos

ya but when he is at 65 he is at a higher rpm than me so it seems to be about the same if im at 60 and doing 3k so if he would be doing 60 he would be doing 3k too right...

Sounds right to me. Ohh and the transmisson and overall tire diameter are the only things that affect speed at a given rpm. Unless you clutch is slipping.
tire diameter won't affect your speedometer though. if you're at 3K@60 (indicated)mph; with larger diameter tires you'll still be 3k@60 (indicated)mph but the actual speed will be higher than 60.
