Throttle body coolant lines...
First off... what does this valve do on the bottom of the throttle body?
Then, would it be a good idea to bypass it and go straight to the IACV?

Its a fast idle thermo valve I know on the newer throttle bodies it just has the inlet and outlet it doesn't have the entire setup like the older ones.
You'll have a shitty idle till the car warms up if you remove it. leave it on there or else youll have major problems keeping the car running when its cold.
basically it's a valve that contains thermowax that expands and contracts with the change of temperature which opens and closes a pintle that allows air to bypass the throttle body.
the idle air control valve controls idle aside from the FITV, mostly for running at operating temperatures.
