Default Steelie people?

anyone still rocking stock steelies? I'm poor and I intend on spending any of my money on other stuff other than rims. curious to see if anyone else is rocking the good ol steelies haha. going to repaint the ones that came with the car this weekend cause it appears someone painted the steelies with hubcaps on lol.

I rocked them back in the F&F days. If you had steelies up front, it meant you were ready to race!

it was kinda sarcasm...i forget it doesn't transfer well over the net.

i gotta save my cash for now to get my WS2 catback and some struts/springs. rims are definatly last on my list of things to do.

not hating, just finding it kinda humorous that people decide it's worth their time to come in and do nothing but hate.
I once had a car with RacingHart cp-035s, that was back in the day when I didn't have bills and living expenses and student loans to pay off. My money has to go elsewhere. This car is a DD, I don't care about sidewall flex, and weight reduction. it gets me 40mpg which is very important to me because of my economic situation as a blue collar worker. ghetto maybe, affordable yes, smart very.

I rock "steelies" on my daily CRX...14x6, 8lb., aluminum steelies made by Bridgestone Outfitted with 195/60/14 Falken Azenis.

Now I'm not trying to TELL you what to do, just my opinion (after all, this is a public message board right? different folks, different strokes)..... honestly, the WS2 should be 3rd, suspension 2nd, wheels 1st. Just buy a set of OEM phat5s, blades, Si, hell in HX wheels or ROTAs are cheap and not bad, especially for budget minded folks (like myself)

steelies IMHO are for when you're trying to get by before that next set of tires come in or emergency situations. Shiet, the steelies that came on my car, immediatley came off and threw on a set of blades... now 1 of thsoe steelies is my spare tire cuz that's all they're good for... SPARE SET

in all fairness I'm a little more worried about the fact its almost August. Which means that much closer to the wonderful Vermont winter, so if I need to be looking at tires and such I need a good set of snows. and I have in fact posted in a local forum looking for some stock honda rims, see if I can get a lead on any soon.
as far as the list of parts I'm going to buy that wasn't really a show of the order, just a general list. ^_^
I appreciate your input though, unlike the rest you were actually useful I've been a member of honda forums all over since I was 15, I am now 22 so I know all of the likes and types of people on boards.

I don't have any close up pics, but the side wall is tall...too tall. I wish they made a 55, but oh well.

Steelies are fine, just a little heavy. You're talking about gas mileage...you'd improve your mileage by reducing unsprung weight

I'd do suspension, wheels, exhaust in that order. Suspension will drastically improve your handling, but if you're rocking generic all season tires on your steelies than it probably doesn't matter to you that much right now anyway.

LOL yeah in that situation, I suppose steelies make great rims for snow tires too!
