I have an 07/'91 civic dx sedan / Manual trans. It is fully gutted and ready to be worked on. I am going to be buying a B16. It is going to be bored out to 2.0. I was wondering what transmission would work well with that. This is my first civic build ever. Tell me now if you think I am doing it the wrong way. Some day i will go boosted but for now which tranny should i get? should i have a stock one rebuilt? should i get a new one that is made for racing? where should i get it? etc. any info would be helpful. I live in hawaii by the way.

 

i would go with a stock type-r trans i dont know the code for it but my friend did that for his da and it made a huge difference! but if you dont want to do the hydro conversion i would just go with the ys1 you already have and rebuild it. that should def do you fine!
