Default need some advice front brake upgrades

I have a 91 CRX HF daily driver/ xcross once a month or so and I'm going to need a total front brake job soon, pads rotors brake hoses wheel bearings, and I would like to upgrade a little and I'd like some advice on what I should do and brands ei: steel hoses, hawk pads, drilled slotted rotors etc. This will be a budget build but I will pay for quality so long as it's not just bling. I also don't really have access to a torch or press so I won't be doing some crazy big brake upgrade with custom mounts and so forth. Thanks in advance everyone.

i reccomend going to a junkyard and picking up a set of DA front knuckles and throwing those on, new Nissin calipers, rotors, pads, then its up to you ow far you wana go... I replaced EVERY peice in the wheel well down to the juts and bolts and i think its worth it

would i still be able to use the same axles with the DA hubs? I haven't swapped much so my first feeling is a DA hub bore is large than my CRX

Thanks Eazy they do make some nice kits. If i went to an 11in rotor would that be a DA rotor and would it fit with 14 or 15in rims?

Any thoughts on what to do for brake hoses? I've searched some and it sems like stainless steel lines cause more trouble than they are worth.

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1508680 look under "Suspension & Brakes"

I run standard lines, I have felt no difference in my pedal with SS line and they are a wear item as much as people think they aren't. To stop better there are better ways to spend the money.

Thanks alot. I read through the 11In and 10In brake upgrades and i feel like my eyes are going to bleed but its great stuff. thinking on doing the 10in swap but Since I have a HF would the accord calipers (17CL15vN) bolt up or would i have to find a different knuckle?

more great information thank you. It still didn't answer my question though if i can do the milled caliper brackets and install it on my HF. fastbrakes says his bracket will mount right up to any knuckle so that would make me think that the HF knuckle would work for this. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Best advice I ever took was

BREMBO BLANKS
Hawk Pads
SS Brake Lines

yeah I want to maintain some long term reliability and all i've ever heard about drilled and slotted was your pad life goes down the tubes for a marginal braking gain.

CHECK YOUR RULES!!! what you do could bump you to a different class. it doesn't matter if you aren't competitive. you may be one day..

Anyone have a answer to this? I'm curious about this swap and I have a HF also. Will the milled calipers mount up to the HF knuckle?

the knuckle of the HF is the same as DX and Si.

its just the hub that is smaller. and the caliper and rotor that mounts on to it.

so therefore, any caliper that will fit the DX or Si knuckle will fit the HF knuckle.
