JDM 4-1 comes trough on the Dyno
We just took a 2000 Civic SI with 15k miles and an AEM, JDM 4-1 Header (Heat wrapped), Carsound 54006 cat, Greddy Evo exahust, and VAFC.
Without the header and cat and the VAFC properly tuned to the car, it made 141.0 whp. and 98.3 ft-lbs of tq.
Adding the JDM 4-1 and Carsound Cat and tuning the VAFC to these new modifications (added some fuel up top and leaned before VTEC, based on wide band O2), show great gains . . . . .
When we were finished the car made 150.8 and 103.5!
Yes, 10 whp and 5 ft-lbs of Tq out of a OEM JDM Type-R 4-1 Header on a B16.
Call me impressed.

Didnt the VAFC have something to do with those gains as well?

Hw much torque did it make over the before plot? peak HP and Trq, as this board taught me, Doesnt mean anything. Post plots!
Best I can do at this point. We moved VTEC all over between 4900-5300 and saw little benefit other than moving the dip.
Area under the curve is really good. starts out just like previous plot and slowly increases and holds an almost 4 hp from VTEC to redline. ALso notice that the car makes the peak about 200 RPMS later which is a huge bonus.
nice gains. are you having any problems scraping the header?

Since this thread isn't really ITR related since it's a Si dyno I'll post my graph from my GS-R..
the 152.x pull is: 00 GS-R, AEM CAI, ~18 degrees timing
the 163.x pull is: same car and mods as above but with a JDM ITR 4-1 header and carsound 94006 cat added. edit: err no PS belt either. removing ps belt gave it 3hp and 2ft lbs. i'll post the with PS belt plot if anyone wants it.

JDM 4-1 ownz
My dyno plot: 1st gen. B16a - stock cams with CAI, JDM 4-1, 2.5" exhaust, 62mm TB, fuel pressure regulator and Field SFC tuning.

Nice.. Thanks for the info Asahi. My next mod is the JDM 4-1 header for my Si. So without a VAFC, I can probably pull 5 hp and close to 10hp with a VAFC and tuning?

ITR header = ITR I do believe
Cool nice to know I am putting one on soon
what heat rap did you use
