Default overheating problems

my car has been overheating and i dont know where to start.

my car reads 3/4 hot in about 2 minutes of normal driving. i look under the hood and the coolant was topped off, i had let the air bubbles out of the radiator already, and my motor wasnt that hot. i could put my hand on it for a second before it actually burned. so i already changed the sensor that tells to the cluster how hot the engine is because i thought it just needed replacing because a 3/4 it ran good as in no backfiring or anything out of the normal (turbo ZC btw) so it wasnt tuning issues.

my fan doesnt come on so naturally i have fan switch to check next. also my bottom radiator hose is cold while the top one is hot. that means my thermostat isnt opening right?

my mane question is if my thermostat wasnt opening would my radiator fan not come on or are they in no way connected? or could it be both need replacing (thermostat and fan switch).

i want to get this car running soon because i have some drag radials coming in the mail and i want to put them to use

I would try the simple things first, try replacing the thermostat its very possible that if its not opening the fan wont come on. plus since the bottom one is hot and the lower one is cold, its a good indication that its a thermostat.

changed the thermostat again and still overheating and my lower hose is still cold

so if your thermostat isn't opening your fan wont turn on? well then what would happen if you run no thermostat; what temperature will your fan come on at? if at all.

if you changed your thermostat and its still overheating it probably a pluged up radiaitor.

Could be the relay or fuse. I would check the ground wires as well located below the battery too. To avoid getting worse better bring your car in the mechanics. And always be sure that your car parts are well maintained.

i dont think its a plugged radiator because a couple months ago i took the radiator out to fab up some brackets to mount the eg radiator to my traction bar and ran a hose through it and it flowed good.
