Default how much whp is safe??

hey,
my main question is how much whp can be safely achieved on a built d16? my goal is 300+, an i have already started to do my research on a safe boosted dd. my other goals are to run mid 13s in the 1/4 and to have a reliable dd for my niece an nephew to ride in. i know that i gotta build my engine, and get a good tune, but just looking for more ideas/comments, btw platform is gonna be a ej.

you dont need 300+whp to run 13's
what do you want to know, your question is very open ended, you know you have to fortify the motor for boost, it has to be tuned correctly, dont skimp on cheap *** parts if you want a reliable boosted daily driver, vitara pistons dont count lol there a good investment for the cash.

wow 300+hp daily. the more hp the more safety precautions needed and more maintenance on a boosted car.

It depends on what you consider "built"?

Build it to handle 20 psi boost, but only feed it half that and tune it accordingly and you should be good as far as a solid "build" for an engine. Plus if you get the fever, you know its built like a brick shithouse so you can turn the wick up on the turbo and maybe feed it some race gas or put a bottle on it.....just an idea.

or if your looking to hit mid 13 sec 1/4 miles, swap a h22a in. after you build that d16z6 and put a kit togethor for it you will be in the same ballpark as the h22a completely swapped into your car.

on slicks with a good driver you can achieve a high 12. and you will have the reliability of a stock honda, while with the boosted d16 if its built right and tuned right the reliabilty will be there but not near as good as a stock honda motor swapped in.
