front - yes
rear - if you really need it to, yes.
the rear lower arm mount is narrower on the 96-00 civic than the 92-95 civic, either spread it or grind down the bushing in the arm.

EKs on an EG, or EGs on an EK has been done many times. I haven't heard of anyone having any problems. Other than the original fitment issue of course.

a drumel would take a while, but yes grind down the shock bushing, narrowing it... so the shock will fit over it. It's really obvious when you see it.

NOTE: some aftermarket companies use spacers in the EK setup, that way they can use the same shock for the EKs and EGs. The spacers make the narrower EK lower mount work on the wider shock.

I'll echo and say that I too have EK rear shocks on my EG, and I trimmed the rear LCA bushing to fit the more narrow EK lower shock forks.

...for those wondering about the fronts they fit exactly the same, but EK shocks lack brake hose mounting brackets, so you have to fab or zip tie them. EG shocks have brake hose brackets made onto them.
