Default help with bogging

hey guys i was checking out a car today and it seemed likea great deal, the only thing is, when im driving local or sometimes on the highway, if i tap on the gas pedal, it feels as if the clutch is slipping or the throttle cable is "loose"

not sure if its the clutch as it is still strong enough to chirp/grab 1st-2nd shifts.

car is a 97 5th gen sellin for 6300 with 120K+

Might be that the ignition timing is slightly off...can't hurt to check.

Yeah, if the TPS is in good shape it should be fine.

okay i just got the car.

the problem seems to occur at low rpms 2500 and under.

Also the idle is set at about 650, kind of low but at times, say if i was in neutral, and i rev it to about 2000 and let the rpms drop, it drops close to 250 and "almost stalls" then goes back to a set 650 rpm.

make sure your MAP sensor is connected properly and has sufficient vacuum from the intake manifold. if its bogging pretty bad under 3000 but revs fine higher rps and vtec works id try that, also il just check the timing since its so easy to retard or advance it on accident or just replacing distributer. hope this helped.
