I just googled CEL code 53, and got a list of errors.
I googled PCM, but no one actually said what it was, just used the acronym. I also only searched one page of results. I would imagine CM stood for control Module, so whatever P is will give you your answer.

It should only come on once. If you have misfires, then it will blink 4 times when it detects a misfire, and youll have individual cylinder misfires codes, along with a random misfire code if more than one cylinder is misfiring.
You should redo the jumper wire method. I couldn't find CEL code 53 on the list:

Maybe the code actually was 54 or 63?

you know what...it could be 4-3 after all. and that must be-"fuel supply system." can anyone explain to me what that is?
PCM = Powertrain Control Module. As far as I can tell, this refers to the ECU.

is code 43 the reason why my car bogs and chokes? and cel only came on once and so far it hasn't been showing again. could it be popping back up again?
i will try and change the fuel filter first, and then 02.

You want to be absolutely sure that the code was 43 before you begin replacing parts. Clear the ECU by removing the 7.5A BACKUP fuse for 30 seconds and then reinsert it. Drive the car and, if you again notice the CEL ON, then retrieve the code(s) and go from there.

No, that would be the underhood fuse panel, your running a '92 - '95 civic right? ECU is behind the passengers side kick panel, its held in with 3 bolts and one nut

remove the 7.5 amp fuse labled backup, leave it out for 30 seconds and then put it back in, you will loose your radio presets as well.

can't wait to go and try and open it. i need to disect my car a little more. i'm just so scared i might break things.
so if i remove the fuse, do i drive it around for a little bit? after that, do i come back and do the clip on the socket again and recount it?

You just need to pop the fuse out for 30 seconds or so to clear any codes, put fuse back in and drive around till the light comes on, then check your codes again. I was hoping you were having better luck with your car. Has it ever gotten any better since the headgasket fiasco? Anyway good luck

i ended up spending more than what i should have. "you get what you pay for." i hired a mickey mouse mechanic.
i paid to have someone adjust my valves. by-pass hose went bad after the headgasket when it should've went bad while getting the head done. car shakes at idle. car bogs and chokes even more.
*CEL* light hasn't been lighting up since saturday night. why's that?
