Never heard of one, but a lightweight torque converter would most likely be pretty expensive. An auto doesn't have a flywheel, so I don't know what you mean there, but the flexplate on an auto is already pretty light.

Isn't the flywheel/flexplate the same thing?

And if your looking just to lose some weight, there are better solutions then getting a lightweight flexplate/flywheel...

No....

Flywheel:

Flexplate:

No friction surface on the flexplate. Also a lightweight flywheel is a great modification, but if you just want to drop the overall weight of the car it won't change it a whole lot.

performance mods for autos would be more along the lines of a shift kit or performance torque converter, all of which is not really specialized for imports. Just get a manual, and be done with it.

it wouldnt be a lighter torque convertor it would be a stall, i dont know if they make any for an h but why dont u just go with a 5 speed? honda auto trannys dont hold up to power and are not for performance in any means

Thanks for your very wise correction of how a flywheel an a flexplate are different, but you knew what I meant didnt you. This is for a circle track stock car, so I am not trying to dump a lot of money into a conversion. I wont even be shifting. It goes in second or third gear and stays there. I just wanted to know if there was any little things I could do before i put it all together.

put a 5speed in 2 gear and an auto in 2 gear and see the 5 speed leave the auto like its standing still its a waste.
