Default Interior Color

the 96-2000 civics came in only 2 interior colors??
classy grey and charcoal correct?
can someone post up a pic of the different colors for comparison.\

thank you so much.. i wonder why they charge more money for the lighter color when ordering parts from majestic honda

There are actually three different colors for the USDM '96-'00 Civics.

Classy Gray (Dark Gray) - Type K
Excel Charcoal (Light Gray) - Type F
Medium Taupe (Tan) - Type P

Coupes came in light and dark gray.

Hatches came in light and dark gray, but '98-'00 only had dark gray.

Sedans came with light gray and taupe.

Some parts are always more expensive in different colors. If you have a dark gray interior, try to avoid buying parts listed as Si parts if you can. Often parts with a part number designating them for the Si have a higher cost than the same part for, say, an EX coupe.

yea i have the charcoal...at first when i saw your post, i thought i had the gray...but the charcoal was lighter than expected so it comes out that my interior looks exactly like the one in the 2nd pic...

Oh, and the interior color code is in the driver's door jamb btw.

For coupes and hatches it should be near the door latch. For sedans it's usually in the lower rear corner.
