Default working under my hood

hey guys!

i just got finished putting in a new fuel pump (walbro) and a new main relay. I got to thinking since i have a couple extra bucks to start replacing some old-looking stuff under my hood, or replacing as much as possible. I would like the car to seem as new as possible.

Besides ordering a new timing belt cover, new fuel line (thinking aem, ive seen a write up on it) and a new a/c belt (mines sorta crap lol). I was wondering what else i should replace?

Like everyone does, when i bought the crx a couple months are i replaced the spark plugs and tubing, i got new seals and am thinking about replacing the head gasket too.

I actually had a question about a/c too... long story i wont bother entirely sharing. End situation, I push the a/c button, it lights up! But nothing else happens... cold air doesnt come out, the rpms to even rise and I'm not sure what else to do lol... I was thinking maybe a condensor/compressor problem. But i heard it might be something called a clutch? an a/c clutch? Any information onthat would be great!

Besides under the hood i got another si red pin stripe in perf condition, gonna be swaping the fabric and foam cuz my drivers seat left side is torn up (like almost everyones). Im ordering full new sie protectors, rear fender protectors and i need to get those front licence plate fillers.

one more quick question, i saw this on ebay? would this help at all for a daily driver or should i stay away from it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW

mr friend, it seems before you try performance work, you may want to consider researching some for a while unless you have money to blow and learn on your own. that is a low compression setup, which with you not being boosted, would slow your car down. I wouldn't change the head gasket, until it needs it. Do a timing belt and water pump and tensioner.

If I had an itch to spend some extra money, I would do all new bushings in the suspension and get more joy out of a quiet responsive drive than having some bling under a hood that doesnt sound like it would ever have the hood open. (not a show car, not uberly fast that people want to see what you have). Spend it how you want, but I would do the needs first then the extras later.

One other thing for others reading this, doesnt that ebay deal seem fishy. Arent vitaras more than that whole kit alone?

yeah man, I am in the same boat. It is always more fun to spend money on what is nicer looking/makes you go faster, but at one point I have to realize I should be buying things that make my car funner to drive, quieter, last longer, and be safer. It sucks to spend so much money and be no faster!!
