I need to replace the exhaust manifold(rattling) on my 94gsr and found a place selling brand new obx ss header for $150. My car is complete stock. I bought a used gsr header, but a punk sold me one with the exact same problem as the one I had, rattling in the a-pipe area. Dam lowlife.

So to avoid the problem again, I am going aftermarket but don't want to spend a lot. I'm not expecting any serious hp gain or any at all, just to get rid of the dam noise. However, I am worry that I might actually lose hp since obx isn't DC or anything.

from everything ive ever heard of obx is that they make crap for products. id save up a bit more cash and get a dc or comptech 4-2-1, when stock parts go bad, upgrade to higher performance.

 

I don't think so, but have had no expirence and have read NOTHING about them..

but seeing as for like $120 USD you can get the OBX exhaust AND full cold air intake off ebay..I don't see as how you can be getting high quality.

I just recently bought one, let me tell you its F***ing great, not!!!! I figure its a new company and maybe they are trying to attrack customer with their affordable price and so called "great crasfmanship"! When I closely inspect the header, the port's was to small and the wellding on it sucks. The only thing the is half way decent is their logo tack to the header, let me take that back. I'm just glad that I did not install it and I found somebody to buy it off me!!! You know what they say you get what you pay for

 

obx they aren't that new are they? i've seen them around for a few years, anyways some obx products aren't bad, as for a header... just get a dc sports ceramic 4-2-1 and you'll be fine plus it's only like $300.

 

Just get a used DC sports header and have a exhaust shop modify the collector to 2.5".

hmmmm.......... $120 for obx headers? i should get some and sell them for $180 to unsuspected rice boys, hahahahaha, i'm sure they're OK and better than stock but yea, jus get some REAL ones and u wont regret it

 

if you're on a budget, i think $120 is a fair price for any kind of header, espeically if it's new. i got my dented SS/CC DC 4-2-1 for $100 and i wouldn't exactly call it "high quality" but i did get rid of that a-pipe rattle

 

From what I hear, OBX products are garbage and their fitment stinks. There is a reason why they cost so little. I would save up for a quality header if I were you.
