Default B16 Greddy Turbo

I just slapped on a greddy turbo kit on my B16 and its bogs between 6 and 7000 rpm. The kit came with an E manage system as well. And it still boosting when it bogs. Almost feels like a rev limiter when it reaches 6-7000.... What can cause this problem????

the problem is emanage sucks go get a chiped p28 and get it dyno tuned with neptune run twice as better. that would be the first thing i would do

yeah the emanage is crap and thats what i would also, but im sure he could get it running right with what hes got,im not sure what the problem is because those are supposed to be pretuned already,i would move this thread to forced induction, you'll probabally get more help there.

stock ingiton is fine but it will just better to have that little power msd...unless a dyno tune would fit all the problems

alot of people have problems with MSD ignition on boosted setups and your not going to notice any power difference between the two

info from msd site SCI
Sport Compact enthusiasts will be excited to see MSD’s newest ignition design! The MSD Sport Compact Ignition (SCI) is the ultimate ignition for the high revving smaller displacement engines that are found in late model sport vehicles. At higher rpm, stock inductive ignitions cannot produce full power sparks resulting in a loss of power or even a top end miss.
The new MSD SCI Series Ignitions feature capacitive discharge circuits that are capable of full power sparks at any rpm! Whether you’re idling through traffic or ripping through the gears at 10,000+ rpm, each spark of an SCI Ignition is at full power! High powered sparks mean complete combustion which puts more power to the ground.
Below 3,000 rpm, the SCI Ignitions produce a series of sparks that last for 20° of crankshaft rotation. This series of sparks will smooth the idle, produce quick starts and deliver lightning quick throttle response.
There are two models of the MSD SCI Ignition Controls offered; the SCI, PN 6300, and the SCI-L, PN 6320. With these proven ignitions, your sport compact car will get the spark power it needs to outperform the competition on both the street and the track.
The MSD SCI is the base SCI Ignition Control. The SCI will work on most engines equipped with a distributor and is supplied with detailed instructions and wiring.

More than likely it is running to rich, a lean condition or misefire would cause more of a excess of torque and hollow sound where as a rich condition would give you the loss of power and drowning sound. If you got or could get a wideband 02 you could very easily verify this. I ran a crappy manifold for a little bit and got it tuned on that and then after a couple cracks I switched manifolds and now it runs to rich in higher rpms so I have to get it retuned but $$$$ is lacking. you will appreciate a good dyno tune anyway cause it is specificly tuned for your car. every car wears differntly so something that is pretunned cant compensate for two cars that have a little bit diffrent compression numbers or even what ever else you have done to the car like intake manifold, cams, or whatever.
