Update!!!

I found that the ECU fuse was blown and it was the wrong amperage!!! I replaced with the correct one and it blew right away when I turned on my car. Still same problem... what could it be thats causing this.

Lately this problem has happened TWICE and it is fixed by replacing the alternator plus a fuse.

The brake and battery light would turn on at the same time all of a sudden. I would lose lots of power to the car (need to give it a good amount of gas to make it go), my speedometer stops working, and I can't shift into reverse/drive if I am already in park.

Lately, whenever it rains my driver side floorboard gets kind of damp but haven't found the problem. Dunno if this could cause this problem.

Any ideas that pop up for you guys as to what's wrong?

Check your ground and look for shorts.

holly bump batman. 3 year old thread. did you check the alternator voltage? also check your grounds.

And this problem sounds screwed up! lol

 

You're popping that fuse due to a short or something like that.

 

So it could be as simple as a bad ground.

The one that is blown. It's on the inside, ECU / EAT ECU I imagine.

alright i havent yet tested the alternator or grounds or the battery due to wrking my full time .....but today i went to start the car and my alternator belt snapped could that of been indication the belt was worn out or not sending enough charge to the battery ? i have a h22a motor in my lude would a h22a4 belt work the same?

either worn out or you had it WAY too tight. hopefully, you didn't hurt the alternator.

i would think it's the same belt, but i don't know.

 

did some further inspection last night found out my alternator was on its way out and the belt was worn out big time.....goin to replace the alternator and belt today hopefully the lights go away once i replace them....ill keep everyone updated

 

Mine did this a few months ago and it was due to the alternator being bad.
