if you want to use a primer you should stick with a sprayable 2k urethane primer. I reccomend dupont or ppg, they are urethane and chemically activated and cured. And if your trying to spray paint on top of it you can, but unless you have a spray can that you can add an adhesive agent in than you are out of luck. As far as laying clearcoat, your out of luck on that one as well. If you lay real clearcoat than your going to have to sand your primer and clean it. First youll have to deal with trying to lay clearcoat over sanded primer, good luck with that one, that primer will absorb the clear like a sponge, Primer needs sealer or basecoat over it or it tends to have problems. Second youll have to deal with the cleaner agent. If your using the correct stuff that you should use than itll strip that spray paint right off. If it doesnt, as soon as the clearcoat touches that spray paint, be prepared for some bubbly action. The activators and agents in the clearcoat do not react well with aerosol spray paint. You may be able to use some other type of clear enamel spray paint or something like that. but thats getting kinda ghetto if you ask me. but i am also totally against these people doing roll on paintjobs with marine paint. but its there car and business.
