Default are there any non ricy vented hoods for an eg? need to let some heat out.

so ive got a ramhorn turbo manifold and my hood is getting pretty hot. i know i can put the heat shield stuff on the bottom of my hood, but i think it looks pretty crappy. so im just wondering if there are any non ricey vented hoods for an eg.
it doesnt matter to me if its carbon or just fiberglass. but i would like something that fits good. ive seen that fiber images has some kind of vented hood but i cant find any pics. anyone have any thoughts or pics. thanks.

I have this same problem with my EG. To help it I wrapped my down pipe and dump tube in header wrap, this helped A LOT

It still got pretty hot under there from the manifold though, while the car was moving it was ok but after you shut it off the hood would get hot enough that you didnt want to touch it.

The thing that made the biggest difference was removing the rubber strip at the rear of the hood. This way when the car isnt moving the heat travels up and out the small crack at the rear instead of hood. I guess I could have dont the [pejorative] hood prop thing but removing the rubber seal seemed better

^^^ yeah, but im afraid its gonna do the same as removing the rubber seal at the back. all the heat will get sucked into the vent fan and blown inside the car.

caretaker, what kind of hood is that?

it's a Monster Sport replica for the EG.

too bad Monster only made hoods for the EK not for the EG
