Hey all,

My 1993 Honda Accord didn't pass inspection last month due to a leak in the exhaust system.

I'm pretty sure that I'm burning antifreeze (the smell is obvious) but I'm not pumping out any white smoke. My oil level is fine but I have to refill my coolant reservoir every few weeks or so.

Also, soon after starting my engine, in first gear, I can hear a high pitched whirring sound as I rev up. On top of that, I can hear a continuous low grumble after long drives.

Does anyone know what the problem could be? My worst fear is that it's a blown head gasket. My piece is hardly worth the cost of it being fixed.

 

Err...sorry for the typo in the subject. Meant "failed inspection", not "failed emissions test".

i had a similar problem check ur .... awewwww wuts the hose im thinking of girrrrrrrr....... bypass its just behind the distibutor cap back there in no mans land towards firewall

Yea... what did it do? Can you guys explain so I can check this on mine? My engine is running rough and ((((ShAkEs)))) the entire car when I shift in reverse...
