i was recently installing some new tein coilovers to lower my car. my friends have done it before so they offered to help. but we accidentally pulled the driver side axle out too far and cannot get the damn thing back. is there a cheap way to fix it without a mechanic looking at it?
Please clarify;
You pulled the inner joint out of the transmission differential?
You pulled the axle until the inner CV joint came apart inside the boot?

yes, thats what happened. the CV came out too far, there was grease everywhere. i heard there are teeth on it that need to be lined up right, but i can't figure it out.
Without knowing the year.......
Most honda inner joints have 3 bearings that line up with slots in the joint housing.
If the boot ripped it will need to be replaced, if not you can get a new band clamp at the auto parts store.
