Default Fresh built motor, running N/A, is 11.8-12.8 AFR at WOT too rich? wash out the rings?

hey guys i finally got my car running and sorted out, i was monitoring the AFR last night and here is what they are like, please give me your input, the car is N/A, built motor/head, same CR as stock, car is 91 accord, stock injectors, stock dizzy, stock ecu, etc.

- at idle right about 14.7
- WOT goes down to 11.8-12.8 and spikes down to 10 for a milisecond every now and then
- downshift/neutral spikes past 20 a lot
- half throttle to 70% throttle is about 13.8-14.8

thanks for any help, i dont wanna break the motor in and WOT it everywhere if thats way too rich, dont wanna wash out the rings. Thanks!

It's not optimal, but it's a stock ECU so you're kinda stuck with it. You won't be washing out rings with that though.

10s and lower would raise concenrs...
you are fine. you should make more power with 12.8 AFR than 14.7, and wont wash your rings out.

make sure your plugs are in good shape.

brand new spark plugs, im gonna do some more monitoring of AFR and post a video here with afr/rpm side by side maybe you guys can see if there is a concern?

I have 3 year old NGK blue spark plug wires, maybe its a good idea to get a set of new ones?

You will be fine. Your not going to wash out your rings with the a/f ratios you reported.

i did a couple of highway pulls, and it seems like the AFR is around 12.4 at WOT through 3 gears, but if im doing 60mph in 4th and floor it, it goes down to as low as 10.8, this is around 2000rpm at 60mph in 4th. When it reaches past 4000rpm the afr goes up to ~12.5

still ok? lol
