Default Koni Dampening Controller

Would it be possible to hook up a tein or greddy dampening controller to a set of Koni shocks?

What a strange question. You can do a lot of things with enough determination and money, but I'd think it would be a rather pointless exercise. Assuming it is even possible, it would involve possibly costly mods and cost, and the result may not be all that great...

Why not just use Koni parts? Koni dampers have much better adjustable valves than just about any other brand, and while the 'stock' Konis are generally fitted with only a rebound adjustment, you can have bump adjusters fitted. Using Koni parts would ensure that you actually can do it, the result will be OK, and the cost will be reasonable (or at least reasonably reasonable).

I think he means the EDFC from Tein.

Someone shed light on this, please! I have only rebound adjustment...how costly is this surgery? I'm about 45min from Ground Control here in Cali.

I only know it's possible, but haven't actually asked the cost.

I suspect that unless you're into some serious racing it's probably not important to have adjustable bump rate, my understanding is that rebound rate has far more influence on handling (thus why having adjustable rebound is more worth having than adjustable bump).

Be aware that most dampers (which includes most of those that come with spring / damper units that come as a set) that do have adjustable bump actually have very little range of bump stiffness, even if they may have a lot of adjustment 'clicks' (so little the adjustment is just about useless). I would expect Konis (with bump adjusters fitted) to be better than most in this respect, but don't know for sure.

You can send the dampers to Konis to have them converted to double adjustable, but bear in mind that you will be giving youself more room to mess up your setup if you don't know what your doing. If this is just a street car it really isn't neccesary.

Yeah, rebound adjusting is all I need. I just didn't know I could potentially do this.
