I've searched and saw that someone said that a 94 RS Engine is an LS engine. But I had someone else tell me that an RS is lower then a LS.

So what does an 94 RS REALLY have under the hood.

i have a 94 rs also - the rs and the ls have the SAME engine B18B - the only difference between the rs and ls is the ls came with more options and the rs is lighter.

 

they have the same motor like he said.
RS is listed 114 lbs lighter than the LS.

 

do the RS!

 

RS,LS,GS,SE = B18B - nonvtec - 140hp
GSR = B18C1 - vtec - 170hp
Type R = B18C5 - vtec - 195hp


yea the other guys are right .. the RS is bottom of the barrel as far as options are concerned .. but if it has the original engine in it .. yea its the same B18B

 

I love my RS!!!!!! It just pulled a best time of 9.6 in the 1/8 today. To bad it was my friend driving (I had to work ), oh, and I have quite the amount of goodies under the hood.

That is correct! When I had my stock motor, I took my friend LS like there was no tomorrow!
