What's the most total miles you put on your 2008 Civic 4DR on a full tank of gas??
I've only had my Civic for barely a month now. Have about 1K miles on it. The most miles I've gotten on a full tank of gas was 322 miles. And that was with the fuel light on. that's an avg of just about 30mpg. I'd say 80-90% of those miles are freeway miles. I thought I should be doing better than this!
Is it becuz my car is new?? Anyone done any better? Post how many total miles you've gotten on a full tank of gas!!

id say thats pretty good considering the most I have gotten so far on my Mugen is about 290!
It will get better. I started out at 27mpg mixed city/highway in my 07 LX coupe, but at 12k miles I started getting 35 mixed city/highway. Now I get 39mpg highway and can easliy get 460miles per tank before I start worrying about running out of gas.

well the big thing is if you have an si or ex,lx. Cause i know my friend gets about 310miles in his si but i've gotten 430 on the highway. And usally about 360 every tank with normal driving.
That's good news! Thanks for the info bro. Makes me feel a lot better!! I have an EX, which is the exact same engine as the LX, so lookin forward to gettin that 400 miles + on a full tank of gas in the next year! BTW, are you using syntethic oil and do you have any engine mods done (ie - spark plugs, cool air-intake, etc.)? Maybe that could be the reason why also. Thanks again bro!

Thanks for the response bro. I have an EX. But I though the EX and LX have the same engine. Only the Si has the bigger one. What model do u have? If your getting near 360 miles on a full tank, that's not too bad. Any mods on the engine?

My light comes on around 270 miles.... If I tried to go over 300, I know I would run out of gas....
I don't drive it that hard either.......

Absolutely.
I've got up to 40.3mpg in one stretch on a trip from Phoenix to Orlando. I get better mileage at 56,000 miles than when it was new. I average 33 in Phoenix, city driving with A/C blasting whole time. I assume my '06 EX is about the same as yours. I notice a BIG difference with the tire pressure. A few psi can make a few MILES per gallon difference.

ive gotten a little over 400 with mostly freeway driving and i have a new 08 4dr lx
07 Si Sedan and I've gotten 360 before the light came on with mostly highway. Typically I get around 300-310 before the light comes on with mixed city/highway. I drive fairly aggressively with at least a few redline shifts a day but I also drive in high gears. Normal driving, I'm in 6th gear if I'm doing 40+, I just accelerate quickly.

Same here, I can easily get over 300 just interstae driving

I used to get 20mpg cos I'd shift between 2.4-3.5k rpms driving regularly. However, I've been trying to be conservative and tried driving like a grandpa (shifting no higher than 2000 rpms... and to my amazement, I just went over 315 (with 3 bars left on my guage) on a full tank of gas. Driving like an old geezer may sound boring, and is pretty irritating when you have tail-gaiters, but it's worth testing out. I drive an 07 ASM 4dr Si btw with an Injen CAI, test-pipe, and ground wires. A dollar saved is a dollar earned!
