So..... A little History of the car before we get started! I originally bought the car back in 2005 with a stock GSR block with a POS drag kit. Made 312hp, ran 12.4@112. After the flywheel came loose on a run and spun all the bearings. The work began! 3 years later it's finally done to where I wanted it and so far I'm very please with the looks, power, & speed.
We first got the car down the track to run a 10.006 @ 148mph with a 81.5mm full GSR block, Wiseco's/Eagles, GE sleeves. Got my competition license on this block in just 6 passes in the car.
With the off the shelves Wiseco's & Eagles rods in the motor (which is for sale right now
)... It was kinda scaring us with the kind of power I was putting down. So we built another block!
So RMR threw together "SIN" last weekend and with only 4 cars there Friday. We pushed to get my car there! We Tried assembling the block on Tuesday and ran into a few problems & had to take the block to Pro machine to get an align bore done. After not having the right stones, they tired some different ones that work. I got word from Mr. Green Friday around noon that my block was done and to go pick it up. Around 4pm after getting Cody and Kyle to the track, we started assembling the bottom end. Long story short, they took all the tools we needed to the track and had to make dew with what he had, kinda interesting but with Cort being a damn genius wasn't hard
Got the motor in the car and started it at 2am Saturday morning, showed up at the track at noon that Saturday to race! First pass off the trailer with the old tune that cort phatten'd up 10%, ran a 10.29@145, 11.0 AF's across the board. Leaned it back out a pulled a 10.25@147, messed up bad in second gear, was on the limiter for 1.2 second. Oops :D Third pass was a mess on the driver part.... Managed to pull a 10.6@121 still w/having a few misfires. Changed plugs and went up against Kyle in the semi finals. Got him off the light with a .077, but after that car just didn't want to move. Was down about 300hp (misfire issues). But all in all I'm very please and it's safe to say it will soon be going 9's! Mind you it still weighs around 2750lbs is my guess. Haven't put it on a scale yet.
Motor Setup is as follows:
84mm
CP's w/upgrades wrist pins

I'm running as much boost as the car will make up here. I'd been seeing about 40 psi in 4th. I was trying to make the Vegas race this year but we just didn't have enough time and I didn't have the money to get there so
It's more than likely the msd ignition box that's causing your misfires. get a M&W and call it a day. The car looks good by the way. for a minute i thought it looked like mia's car.

I bought the ign. box used so... it's been giving us a few problems and I'm almost positive that's the problem so. Not that it's a junk product from MSD. Just order up a new Dig 6 or Find a Dig 7 prog. for cheap :D Hopefully there's some events to make it too! lol
