I have alot of indecision on which motor to run the f20b or the h22a both are in the same area for power and price just dont know which is going to be better in the long run.

The F20b is just a de stroked H22.

So do you have a limit on displacement or any rules effecting it?

seeing as how you're new here, I'd advise looking into the issues that H22A and the dual cam f20s have with exk. rocker pad wear w/ aftermarket cams.

it seems to become a big issue as soon as you go with an aftermarket bumpstick ( which you most certainly will need to get to the 11s ). Not advising you against the swap... just want you to be well informed before making a purchase.

i cant find much on the wear nor can i find an aftermarket solution. i know now that they do wear quick with new cams but that could be from just not setting the lashcorrectly right? because i also found instances of b and d series wearing in the same way.

Trust me, BlackTraxGirl, 98vtec and all the h-worshippers in the prelude forum definitely know how to set their valve lash so its not that. The common thought on it now is just an inferior piece originally put on the motor, endyn has been saying they are coming out with replacements that are made of a less malleable material, but I have yet to see a release date with it.

Its a hard choice... I've thoguht about an H a billion times, but the main issue that keeps me away from it is the trans issue. The H-trans is dogshit for the most part, some companies make final drives, but they are still far from one of the better gearboxes honda has made.

As far as the H2b route goes.... its an awesome set up but look at gibsanez's thread and see how long its taken him to get the thing to fit asthetically (i.e. no hole-in-hood-for-vc-clearance). I give him a ridiculous amount of credit for the paintstaking amount of time he's put into his swap, but FWIW, i'd be pulling my hair out at the stage he's at for not doing a K.

thats just my $0.02 though

yea i was looking into the h2b but that was the exact reason i did not do it. Bisi moto has replacement rockers just pricey at 1700. well if its not lash then yea the stock rockers just suck ***! i guess i am going to just have to suck it up and pay to play ya know.....does not seem like there is an easy way around this problem. as for the trans i knew about that, already bought the 4.83 final drive from kingmotorsports. hopefully that will help a little bit! but seriously thank you for your input it is a help on letting me be more preped on what to expect.

No problem. Keep us updated on your project, I'm sure she'll be a torquey little beast when you're done.

Interesting and all, but why didn't you post this in the all motor forum, seeing as the hatch or crx never came with either of these accord/prelude motors?
