Might be a ridiculous question. Can you use JB weld on the valve cover? I want to put 2 ports in it. Drill 2 holes, jb weld the 2 ports into the valve cover. It's for a breather tank on a turbo setup. Rather then welding 2 ports on it professionally. Thanks, hope that makes sense.

They make A/N fittings that are "compression" fittings. They use a nylon seal on the backside, so it's a no weld/no leak deal.

mine has been jb'd for 2years and have not cracked loose/leaked or had any problems with it.

cheap but it works perfect for me.

 

That's what I was thinking. Definitely have to prep it well, easy part. What do you guys suggest using to make the ports, just your typical electric drill?

Of course, but I like DIY projects. Having it professionally done is my last option.

 

then take it to a buddies house and diy it with a tig. i just don't understand boogering up your valve cover and potentially have issues to say "yup. did it myself".

whatever, u can wirewheel the JB weld off easy if u need to. do it up!

it wont leak. prep well, mix evenly, apply evenly.
use atleast 1/2inch hose
post up pics on HMT when ur done

theyre called bulkhead fittings. you can get them and everything else on summit.

i did my valve cover with bulkhead AN fittings and works just as good as welding it.
